The Indian Minature art owes its origin to the training imparted to Indian artists by two Persian masters in the latter half of the 16th Century during the reign of Emperor Akbar, Indian Miniatures, flourished in different schools such as the popular Mughal school, the Rajasthan School, the Pahari school of Punjab Hill States and the Deccan school with their own distinct styles. In many respects these miniatures represent a fusion of two cultures, Iranian and Indian.
